Job Description:
The Inventory Management Lead (IML) develops common processes for SPU execution to coordinate the supply of materials from the point of purchase to point of use. They ensure that materials management is thoroughly integrated with other PSCM and logistics activities. They develop materials management strategies to meet customer needs by leveraging a network of supply partners, processes, tools and technology to provide the most advantageous cost within the optimal value proposition over the life of the material.

The Inventory Management Lead (IML) will drive and influence change in regards to the development and implementation of inventory management common processes for perpetual inventory control executed by field materials management representatives. In addition to acting as a subject matter expert in basic inventory management techniques (i.e. cycle counting, life cycle reviews, inventory preservation, staging, tagging, and delivery services, ABC inventory management techniques, etc), the specialist will develop and implement common processes and provide expertise in the following areas :

• Inventory strategy development at the global and SPU level to drive effective materials management employee utilization
• Design Inventory Optimization initiatives and the associated value proposition (i.e. Inventory cause and effect relating to Operational Lost production opportunities for surface and subsurface production assets, Critical inventory spare availability and the cause and effect for the availability of critical rotating equipment, understand the effect of inventory holding costs, carrying costs, and other cost concepts such as fixed, variable, direct, overhead, order, stockout, and landed costs)
• Determine appropriate use and calculation of Inventory valuation techniques like FIFO and LIFO, MIN//Max level determination, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Lot sizing techniques
• Experience in Inventory records management techniques, master data management, and electronic tools such as SAP and Maximo in order to design standardize processes for recording SKU lead times, standardizing catalog content using data dictionaries, noun and noun modifiers, and ensure duplicate SKUs are eliminated
• Determine appropriate Inventory performance measurements and key metrics to evaluate global inventory management efficiencies
• Design processes for creation of Parts Lists and Bills of Material to assist in demand planning requirements
• Implementation of techniques to manage obsolete and dead inventory as well as inventory preservation for in stock items

Key Challenges over the next 12 months
• Embrace the strategic agenda of the Materials Management function and support the transition of the MM organization from Operations to PSCM
• Maintain operational reliability while elevating our materials management capability and service to the SPUs
• Drive development and implementation of common MM processes across the globe

Position Requirements
• BS in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management or comparable 4 year degree or equivalent

• Legal authorization to work in the US or UK on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer• extensive experience in materials management, field inventory and/or supply chain experience • Field experience with performing or managing material coordination• Experience and first hand knowledge of the application of risk management techniques to materials management• Experience of delivering to other time zones and cultural environments• Development and management of service level agreements with SPUs • Working across disciplines and cross-functional teams• Good influencing and communication skills across a wide range of cultural environments• Petroleum Industry experience, • Experience with SAP MM and Maximo WMS or comparable experience
