| Beavercreek Twp. creates part-time administrator position Posted: 03 Nov 2010 02:31 PM PDT By Katherine Ullmer, Staff Writer 5:10 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 BEAVERCREEK TWP., Greene County — The Beavercreek Twp. Trustees voted this week to create a job description to hire a part-time township administrator, despite the opposition from one of three trustees. The administrator would help oversee the township's annual $20 million budget and five department heads, who manage 61 full- and 32-part-time employees. "I think it would be very valuable," said Trustee Bob Glaser, who voted with Trustee President Bob Stoner to approve the position Monday. But Trustee Carol Graff opposes the job, calling it "an unnecessary financial burden on the township." "I do not know what my fellow trustees think they are missing," she said. "We are operating in the black. Our departments do well. We have money in the bank. We have excellent department heads that watch their budgets." Trustees have neither set a salary nor a deadline to begin receiving applications. Contact this reporter at (937) 225-2341 or kullmer@DaytonDailyNews.com.
