Job Description:
BS or higher degree in Process, Mechanical, Structural or related field or equivalent experience.  At least 10 years experience in cost estimating for offshore oil and gas production facilities projects in a major E&C firm environment.   JOB REQUIREMENTS Broad knowledge of the offshore industry.   Ability to prepare and maintain project cost estimates covering all project activities.   Knowledgeable of all activities, systems and equipment required on offshore facilities projects including fixed and floating structures of all types, topsides equipment and systems and interfaces with sub-sea equipment and control systems.   Expert knowledge in use of relevant software packages and cost databases. JOB DESCRIPTION Reports to the Project Manager Establishes / Maintains detailed project cost estimates Facilitates inputs to project estimates by all project stakeholders. Prepares cost portions of project progress reports Keeps project management apprised of project costs related to the budget and highlights immediately conditions which may result in cost overruns. Coordinates all individual project estimates (engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation) into the overall project estimate Assists in cost estimating for proposals etc. during business development phase of projects. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Hands-on knowledge of offshore project activities, systems and equipment. Knowledge of project execution processes and procedures. Experience preparing and maintaining project cost estimates at all levels of detail Experience in use of cost estimating software packages Skill in oral and written communication
