Job Description:
The Borehole Geophysics Specialist in the Imaging Flagship team will play a key role in driving deployment and development of the technology. Delivering technical advantage and business application of new advancements in borehole geophysics is critical to the role. Hardware employed can include one-off surveys using wireline or drill pipe deployed borehole seismic sensors or newer developments involving permanent sensors in multiple wells. Applications "Beyond time-to-depth" include 3D VSP imaging, anisotropy calibration of surface seismic response, hydraulic fracture monitoring and reservoir monitoring using active or passive seismic. Influence of the specialist will impact Global BP business delivery.

Position Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years experience in Geophysics in the oil and gas industry
• M.Sc. or PhD (preferred)in Geoscience related discipline.
• Strong communication skills.
